For our first meeting of the year things didn’t go too badly at all. There were lots of positives to take away from a very busy day where even the weather played ball considering it was still March.
I now have a clear idea in terms of my main camera body from now on and am getting more and more comfortable using both and so I’m expecting results to improve over the next few meetings starting at Darley Moor this coming weekend.
It was also great to catch up with Andy and Josh Daley and Magnificent Seven men Steven and David at SPR Racing who despite finding 2 seconds a lap over last years times in Friday free practice couldn’t quite transfer the same pace on to Saturday where they also suffered with a braking issue in race one that saw them have to pull into pitlane early and is where we found the team at the lunch interval with all hands on deck trying to determine what the issue was.
Having overcome the problem the boys were back out for race 2 although they reported that they just didn’t feel right on the bike but still took the opportunity to gain experience, continue to learn together as a crew and build towards Round 1 at Darley Moor.
Our attention now turns to Darley Moor where I will be catching up with more M7 members over the slightly more relaxed Friday evening and Saturday before wheels turn in anger on the Sunday.
