As far as years go 2018 was a BIG one for Shane, firstly welcoming baby Albert into the world and secondly he also made his racing debut.
Starting in the 2nd half of the season with EMRA in the ‘Newcomers’ class Shane was immediately quick and consistently well inside the top ten as well as recording a very respectable 13th place finish with the NGRRC at Oulton Park in a very quick and competitive field of 30 riders.
2019 will see Shane onboard an R6 which he is currently preparing for a double assault with EMRA in the Open & Rookie classes as well as the 5 Round Aintree Championship where the aim will be to get comfortable on the new bike and gain valuable experience of new circuits. Future plans and goals will hopefully see Shane moving into one of the best championships anywhere in the world, the British Superstock 1000’s and if they can ever resolve their financial problems then Oliver’s Mount in Scarborough would also be on the wish-list.
If you would like to offer support both big or small to Shane and get involved in the greatest sport on earth then please feel free to contact him on Facebook, I am sure he would love to hear from you.
