Tom Gigg Racing #143
2018 saw Tom embark on his 2nd full season of racing with the main goals of gaining more track experience as well as bettering the 3rd place overall finish in the 2017 ‘Newcomers’ Championship with the Preston & District Motorcycle Club (PDMCC).
Things did not get off to the most auspicious of starts with 2 crashes at Round 1 meaning Tom already had a lot of ground to make up on his rivals in what is a relatively short and extremely competitive championship for the Pre-Injection class but after a couple of visits to the podium Tom found himself in 4th place going into the final round where 2 fantastic results saw him leap up to 2nd overall and take the runners-up spot.
Gaining more experience in different championships and circuits Tom also achieved top ten finishes during several outings with the Wirral 100 club.
2019 will be an extremely busy one as Tom looks to compete again with PDMCC and W100 for the full season as well as more outings with the North Gloucestershire Road Racing Cub (NGRRC), Bemsee and No Limits Endurance events so I should get to see quite a lot of him if you’ll pardon the blind pun!
With the likelihood of an expensive tyre bill looming next year I am delighted to say that we have decided to join the ’43Club’ that Tom runs to try and help him out a little, to find out more about the club and get involved you can contact Tom at Tom Gigg Racing #143 on Facebook.
